Nicola & Stephen

Hillcroft Hotel, Whitburn

Nicola & Stephen were one of my very first bookings when I launched my business a couple of years ago so the build up to their day was extra special.

I spent the morning with Nicola and her lovely family getting ready in her parents house.  90’s R&B tunes on the TV and prosecco bottles popping it was a great morning full of laughter and love.

At the venue, Stephen waited patiently for Nicola to arrive and chatted to their waiting guests.  The rain was pouring but it didn’t upset the buzz of the day with the excitement building for the bride to arrive.

Walking down the isle on her fathers arm, small tears of joy shed while he passed her over to her waiting groom the ceremony began.  Stephen, a bit tongue tied finally got his words out after some giggles from the crowd and encouragement from Nicola, the deed was all done.

Family shots captured inside but a break in the rain allowed us to get some of the bridal party shots outside with Nicola’s stylish umbrellas on hand.  Time moved fast as it always does and before we knew it we were on to the wedding breakfast and amazing speeches by both best men.

With the cake cut it was time for the first dance, Stephen swished Nicola around the dance floor who then moved to an extra special father daughter dance with one more happy tear rolling down his proud face for his amazing daughter.
